I am writing in support of the planned northward expansion of the current boundaries of our existing Gulf of the Farallones and Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuaries.

The present longstanding management approach now used in the existing Sanctuaries should be also applied in the new expansion area without modifications, and no new Jet-ski zones should be established at this time without full involvement from local residents who know the area.

The lush ocean upwelling system to be protected by this needed boundary change is critical to the economic and biological well-being of our region and we support this expansion of the Sanctuaries, but done with local participation before changing any rules from the present protections.
